We are all fragile light
TerriLynn Le Blanc
Three hundred and sixty-five – that’s the number we have to make a difference in our lives each year. The same number we have to feel heartache, or loss, or to be bathed in the joy of being alive – connecting with family and old friends, making new ones and seeking out new adventures. It’s not a lot of time, not if you really think about it. It passes by in a flash the older you get, and I wonder sometimes if we realize how short our time truly is on this earth?
365 chances to make a difference
It seems like we spend so much of our limited time dividing and conquering, striving to make the most money or reach the highest status – fighting so hard to leave some kind of impression somewhere throughout our walk in life. I know that I’m just as guilty sometimes of doing exactly that – but this year, I really want to set that aside and be an integral part of something that gives others a chance to be heard, to know they are wanted and that they have the power to be who and what they are in every moment.
ProjectART UBU is that one thing that I think I can be apart of and leave for the next generation. All of the team here want to give the world and those in it who don’t get the recognition, the opportunities, the life that they so greatly deserve the road to making their dreams a reality and supporting them on their journey. For this next chapter, these next 365 pages – we want to open those doors and pave those roads for each and every one of the souls that join us.
Tearing down the walls to Authenticity
Three hundred and sixty-five new opportunities to make a difference, to leave a legacy, to give someone a voice in this society of labels and definitions and cliques. New chances to reach out and grasp at the light that is in all of us, bringing communities together and spreading the word that we don’t have enough time left to be wasting it finding new ways to hate each other. Instead, let’s break the barriers down, let’s tear the walls apart, let’s light this world on fire with the authenticity what dwells within all of us – shouting to the universe that we are who we are as we are in this very moment – perfectly imperfect …
… and there is no shame in that.
With much love, much respect, and much authenticity to all of you,
On behalf of TerriLynn Le Blanc Editor & Staff Writer, and the ProjectART UBU family.
